Collaborating with artists in other art forms is an important aspect of my work, particularly choreographers. I have been working with Jennifer Jackson and Susie Crow since 1997, two partnerships that have resulted in works of all kinds: improvised performances, elaborate scores such as FIBBA for the National Youth Ballet and Black Maria based on Diana Wynne-Jones’ novel as well as re-workings of classical ballets such as Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty in Distant Beauties for Images ballet company.
