Distant Beauties (2017)
A musical and choreographic re-working of the Prologue from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty with choreography (after Petipa) by Jennifer Jackson.

Duration: c. 15 minutes.

Instrumentation: fl., vla.

Performances: Rosie Bowker and Henrietta Hill at Merlin Theatre, Frome (WP), then touring with final performances at the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadlers Wells, London.

Commissioned by: Images ballet company.

Do the Right Thing (2011)
A miniature operatic scene to a libretto by Bridget Minamore. Do the Right Thing was created during participation in the VOX course at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in 2011.

Duration: c. 3 minutes.

Instrumentation: soprano, tenor, piano.

Performances: Catherine May, James Geer and Lindy Tennent-Brown at Linbury Studio, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden (WP).

Black Maria (2004-7)
A multimedia dance work for children aged 8-14 based on the novel Black Maria by Diana Wynne Jones with choreography by Susie Crow and video by Zara Waldeback and Georgie Pinn.

Duration: c. 80 minutes (two acts).

Instrumentation: fixed media electronics.

Performances: one-week run at Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadlers Wells, London (WP).

Commissioned by: Diana Wynne-Jones.

Catching the Sun (2006-7)
A one-woman show inspired by long term QE2 resident, Beatrice Muller, to a libretto by Stephanie McKnight.

Duration: c. 40 minutes (one act).

Instrumentation: female voice, male actor, ten. sax. (dbl. fl. and cl.), vlc., perc., pno.

Performances: Kirsty Bennett and Paul Robinson’s Harmonieband at Electric Theatre, Guildford.

Commissioned by: Guildford International Music Festival.

FIBBA (1999-2000)
A ballet for young dancers based on the Fibonacci sequence with choreography by Susie Crow.

Duration: c. 15 minutes.

Instrumentation: fl. (dbl. picc.), ob., cl., (dbl. Eb and b. cl.), a. sax., ten. sax., bsn., hrn., tpt., tbn,. 2 perc., pno., syn., hp., strings (1,1,1,1,1).

Performances: Lowry, Salford (WP), then touring with gala performance at Sadlers Wells, London, conducted by Neil Thomson.

Commissioned by: National Youth Ballet.

The Buried Moon (1995)
An opera for primary school children in two acts to a libretto by Michael Armstrong.

Duration: c. 80 minutes (two acts).

Instrumentation: 4 soloists, chorus of ‘Things’ (15 singers), chorus of ‘Villagers’ (15 singers), 4 recs (2 descant, 2 treble), 5 perc., pno/conductor.

Performances: Harwell Primary School, Oxfordshire (WP), with a revival in 2006.
